The Distress of Sleepless Hours

Restlessness can ensnare you like a vice during the night. Every murmuration becomes amplified, every shadow takes on a threatening form. You toss and turn, your mind racing, desperate for some elusive peace. Sleep, once a gentle refuge, has become a distant fantasy. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity of agony.

We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the resilient/unyielding spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.
